The CDF Action Council’s Member Profiles tool provides a comprehensive look at what every senator and representative has done during the 115^th Congress to advance or impair progress for children. Inside each profile you will find:

• Members’ Legislative Actions: A record of every bill introduction, co-sponsorship, and vote a member has made on legislation within the Children’s Defense Fund’s core policy areas.
• The State of Children: Statistics on the state of children in your member’s district or state
• Contact Information: The information you need to get in touch with your member to express your view on their legislative actions – commend those who demonstrate a clear commitment to children and to encourage those who don’t to better prioritize the needs of America’s children.

Every bill that has been included in the Member Profiles has been assigned a positive or negative rating based on whether the bill would help or hurt children when compared with current policy. While these decisions were carefully considered, it is important to note that for a variety of reasons a positive rating here does not necessarily imply that a bill has been officially endorsed by the Children’s Defense Fund.

The information presented in the profiles is provided in part by ProPublica’s Congress API as collected and analyzed by CDF Action Council staff.
