Trista Harris is a passionate advocate for leaders in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors. She currently serves as the President of FutureGood, a consultancy that helps visionary leaders build a better future through diversity, equity and inclusion organizational change consulting, strategic visioning, keynotes and retreats.
Previously, Harris served as the President of the Minnesota Council on Foundations, a community of outstanding philanthropic leaders committed to building prosperity for Minnesota’s increasingly diverse communities. She also served as the Executive Director of the Headwaters Foundation for Justice and was “Futurist in Residence” at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where she worked to track emerging trends around health equity. Harris is also the author of the book “FutureGood” and co-author of the book “How to Become a Nonprofit Rockstar”.
Trista is a writer and has managed her own blog since 2007, where she covers critical trends and future predictions for the social sector including generational transitions, where social entrepreneurs are creating new solutions, and how philanthropy can prepare itself for future community needs.
Harris received her Bachelor of Arts from Howard University and her Masters of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota.
